Purnodaya Scholarship Fund was inaugurated on 12th August 2019 at TOR Franciscan Provincialate, Bolawalana, Negombo, Sri Lanka. We thank Mr. Amal Buddika Liyanage, President of ASSOCIATIONE DI AMICIZIA, ITALIA-SRI LANKA for sponsoring this project with his friends in Italy.
This scholarship fund was implemented to help the poor Children who have only a single parent. they were selected irrespective of their culture, language and religion with a scrutiny after a family visit. As to begin, we awarded 20 children with a monthly scholarship until they finish their education.

‘Purnodaya Scholarship Fund’ aims to assist poor students from low-income families in Sri Lanka to achieve their formal education.
Minister Provincial of the TOR Franciscans in Sri Lanka will be the legal holder of the project who will be responsible for the implementation and the completion of the project. Minister Provincial also can appoint a person in charge of this project.
This project is financially assisted by ‘ASSOCIAZIONE DI AMICIZIA ITALIA – SRI LANKA’. Mr. A. L. Amal Buddika Prasad, the President of the organization ‘ASSOCIAZIONE DI AMICIZIA ITALIA – SRI LANKA’ took the initiative to create this Scholarship Fund. His idea is to award scholarships to uplift the education of poor children irrespective of their religion and language.
